Well at least now we see a pattern. It seems whatever the correct thing to do is, Obama does just the opposite. While we are in a time of international war, he spits in our allies’ faces. We are in a recession and he adds more taxes to the American’s already full tab. No matter what common sense may be, Obama takes the back way the wrong way; and its risk to our nation is increasing. Although the response to our allies is horrific, the most recent objective has been even more astounding. Before it is explained, allow one fact to be raised first: We are in a war for our lives every day. The waters that once protected us are now one of the many avenues that have been used by our enemies and as days pass and technology begins to fall into their laps, we are more at risk. Now, the logical response of this would be to stay ready. To be prepared for anything through consistent updates, strongly worded and acted upon promises of response and watchdog tactics of governmental objectives so not one action, dollar or factor assists our enemy in every way. Despite the major enemies being overseas, their ability to can have them to us in no time; we need to be ready to respond with whatever is handed to us and to show that strong hand consistently. While many predictions have occurred when it comes to the upcoming November elections, none has been so intriguing as a statement made by a member of the most watched political party recently: The Democrats. Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland recently stated the Democrats have an “Uphill Climb” when it comes to November. Although he continued to wonder out loud how “steep” the hill really would end up being, you have to wonder how much of an understatement this response really is. After all, we are talking about the same party whose first real legislation as a majority had victims within 24 hours of its signing. Not to mention, this is the organization who had chance after chance of really doing what they promised and instead turned to assisting their former contributors while evading and invading their voters. Especially when these one-time supporters say something against them such as presenting what a decline in income a company will have as a result as their “reform” baby ObamaCare. Barack Obama. Once upon a time, that name brought so many positives images to many people of this nation. Thinking back to Obama’s election, you see a man being held up by a majority of Americans as a hero. Words such as “change” and “hope” were constantly declared and repeated with smiles shining brighter than the future these citizens thought they had ahead of them. However, as days within his term passing, the gleam of the Golden Boy that has been Obama is beginning to tarnish. For many, it all started when he seemed to be more involved in taking the presidential transportation on family trips. While the nation fought to keep its head above water financially, his travels seemed to have nothing to do with the citizens’ legislative needs; not to mention the fact that it was the people’s tax dollars paying for the trips and having nothing to show for it. Read more To avert our attention from the damage ObamaCare is doing to America day after day, President Obama lifted a moratorium to allow oil drilling off the Eastern seaboard and potentially the western coast of Florida. Thinking he once again did something for America they way he did when he signed ObamaCare, hence many futures away, Obama has gone as far as to adopt the Republican chant “Drill baby drill!”. Lately, there has been a feeling that he is “playing” President instead of being president, thinking his actions don’t really affect people. When it comes to this “Drill baby drill” action, he must see the consequences. Not only would it result in jamming the court houses further, and giving liberal environmental groups more to cry about but it pretty much does nothing in the way of immediacy to get America off foreign oil. First, nothing if anything happens, it cannot even have a chance till 2012. Second, it’s an allowance to look for places to drill. Finally, not only is this pretty much putting his name on a 2008 action by Congress, but once again limits areas such as Alaska. Many people say Alaska is off limits for environmental reasons. However, the reality is studies show the heat result in animal reproduction (funny but true). Of course, Obama supporters immediately call this a “Jobs Bill” since he, after ObamaCare first crashed and burned after its first deadline to sign, promised to focus on that. One problem with that: The EPA along with our POTUS around the same time installed a rule establishing emissions and fuel economy standards for the U.S. auto fleet. With a cost of up to $1,300 per vehicle, it is as House Majority Leader Boehner calls “a job killer.” Score another one for Obama? Obama attempts to excuse this and other related objectives, stating that it will allow “home grown” opportunities to evade us from international oil sources with renewable sources. The issue with that is most technologies are very much way off in being finished; not to mention the time it takes to be integrated into society. Nonetheless, America is an oil and gas country and probably will be even if these “homegrown” opportunities are out there. Hence the gas prices will still be an issue, which leaves us back at step one. Therefore, if the President really wants the phrase “Drill baby drill”, Well Mr. President: Put your money where your mouth is. Is the Media Addicted to Palin? 03/10/2010
The one thing that you are told when you run for office is that win or lose, your life will never be the same again. The media will be after you, possibly lighter than the force they use to chase celebrities and after a while it will dwindle at least until your next election. Unless of course, your Sarah Palin. While the public fights to keep their jobs and an embattled Congress attempts to save our healthcare system, news stations are making political news out of TMZ-like sightings of a certain former politician. Former Governor of Alaska and prospective 2012 Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin, with her two daughters, her brother and a small entourage in tow, visited the Oscar Gifting Suite before prepping for her now celebrated first late night appearance on the Jay Leno Show. Despite real news occurring worldwide, CBS News saw this for some reason thought it was important enough not only to report but to call her lawyer for comment as well as to detail each product she and her following grabbed from the tent. One question: Why is this news? This is the media literally trying to create more havoc over the former Vice Presidential candidate; The same waves that were preceded by her (a private citizen) writing notes on her hand during a speech while Diane Feinstein (a U.S. Senator) writes on her palm during a POLITCAL DEBATE and receives a lack in media retribution despite obviously breaking debate rules. What is the different between these people? The side of the aisle they stand on. Someone say media bias? People are asking me how I feel about her possible reality show. I feel nothing about it politically. I see it as being a great source of popularity for Alaska, as it has been stated. However, I do not believe it will help her do anything political other than possibly staying a name in social objectives such as Pro-Life and teen pregnancy. However, the factors she needs to run for office do not include a reality show. Nonetheless, I have to say that this woman is chased more than Lindsay Lohan and I have no idea why. In the words of President Obama “The campaign is over”. Move on, media. |
