Throughout many articles, America continually sees that the Obama administration and his cronies live in a bubble where they are the greatest leaders of this nation and not the ones that are continually selling its future like the stock market. Recently, Senior Obama Advisor David Axelrod stated that America would be going “backwards” if they allowed the GOP to take the majority in 2010. Once again, we see the backwards thinking of the Obama Administration. From day one, the Presidency has been against everyone who supported them, majorly the youth, via so-called reform as well as ignoring the real issues that need the Commander in Chief’s attention. The top one that has lacked real attention: Jobs. Employment, especially regarding private sector jobs, has resulted in risking the former fan base that is the youth of the nation. The same people who once upon a time gave their dime and time to Obama hoping for “Change” from an unpopular president and war. Now, with the same volunteers looking for their first jobs, unemployment stands at 9.5 percent. The response? With job adding predictions regarding his “Stimulus” activity ranging between a half-a-million to three-million jobs and themselves being consistently questioned and dissected, positive aftermaths for employment have been few and far between. This, of course, has resulted in a lack of response when it was recently announced that a third is on the way. Further, while the nation waits for the possibility of more “Stimulus” to hit the legislative floor, not only are college graduates majorly feeling hit by the recent situation but also the high school students who are currently reaching out for summer gigs. In May, 6,000 jobs were created among 16-to-19 year olds, the smallest increase in more than 40 years. At the same time Axelrod made his statement, Obama has attempted to change his now administration’s slogan from “Yes We Can” to “Yes We Did”. Today many members of society such has the youth are asking “Did what?” The Congressional Budget Office projects cumulative national debt to increase in the next decade by $9.8 trillion. This “generational theft” will soon create lower standards of living for Americans in the future and, as an obvious result, a reduction on the youth’s available opportunities. Staying on the aspect of future, not too recently the Labor Department attempted to revoke unpaid internships from the Craigslists and classifieds of the world because of possible subversion of federal rules. Not only is the administration allowing the constriction and reduction of paid employment, but unpaid employment which assists the youth in gaining experience while they wait for jobs to come is also risked by the administration. Hence the question of “Did what?” continually is cried out back to the new attempted alteration of the campaign slogan. With the future fading more and more, covering like a California fog over the hopes of our nation’s youth; Not only being unaffected by the “Stimulus” but still waiting for the “Change” while they watch a great deal more than hope fade by the day. Lack of impact of the assistance package and other Obama-lead actions, it seems the picture is bleakest for African-American teens, for which June unemployment stood at 46 percent and real changes do not seem to be possible at least for the near future. Further, all ages from 19 and beyond are more impacted with the situation when it comes to the timing it has occurred: summer months for teens and college graduation day. The result of this? Despite what many political pundits may be hinting at, these are the people who will not forget in November and will work to burst the bubble that our current leadership resides. Originally Written for Parcbench.com While liberal pundits may joke that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is as popular as predecessor Grey Davis was, they should be paying a bit of attention to the increasing disapproval rating of their current leader and its already visible aftermath. White House aides were recently quoted saying they are prepping an “aggressive schedule” for former President Bill Clinton to assist in funding and voter needs for the left regarding the upcoming election. Obama’s schedule, for observable reasons, will be lesser and far between that Clinton’s. While they may hide behind statements such as business needing his attention, scuff marks on his golf clubs and the mileage on Air Force One may beg to differ that prospective reasoning for his lack of electoral event involvement. A Democratic operative discussing this stated there are few “talented politicians” on their side that can “lay out the contrast with the Republicans”. However, the obvious reasoning behind this is as clear as Obama promised the government was going to be: “Hide the unpopular leader while we still have a chance to win.” Clinton, no matter what kind of corrupt background he carried within his leadership, is an attention getter and will bring many checkbooks and liberal ballot marks. No matter what they do however, the past years of the democratic leadership did happen. Hence, the only issue with that is no “talented politician” can hide the broken promises of the current Administration. One thing that the Democrats should realize is that they are not dealing with the same voting citizens. The Tea Party, no matter what the NAACP says, has resulted in more educated citizens. Much like the first Tea Party, they are debating not only with passion but with facts and research founding their statements. The fact that a former President who was lucky enough to be leading during an economy that had nothing to do with him and, how so many forget, was involved in historic impeachment proceedings, shows the straws which Democrats are reaching for and how much they are realizing: They may see the unemployment line in November. Originally written for Parcbench.com Recently, a whisper from the media has resulted in a scream of the phrase that they seem to begin wearing as a badge instead of a smear more and more recently: Liberal Bias. It seems once again the liberal leadership can do no wrong, even when they are involved in an objective which they just a few years ago (something you wouldn’t realize if you saw the past few months articles) with a now member of political history. In 2005, Jack Abramoff was huge news and pretty much placed a bull’s eye on Republican leadership. Despite the fact that there were funds accepted by Democrats such as Senator Feingold, almost immediately demands came from members of the press to return every dime ever received by Abramoff taking small bits of news such as President Bush’s contributions and enlarging them. This month, a liberal Jack Abramoff, Iranian-American investment banker Hassan Nemazee was sentenced to 12 years in prison for bank fraud. Despite title such as “Ex Clinton” periodically taking part in the title, the lack of press if any as well as nonexistence of follow up news, the press screams bias beyond any past event could have ever reached. Not only is there a lack of news articles, but more importantly a lack of demands for returning funds. Reuters Press reported Nemazee was one of the top “bundlers” of contributions to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, according to the Center for Responsive Politics’ OpenSecrets.org. In fact, he typically donated more than $100,000 annually to Democrats including current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The follow of the whisper seems to be a pin drop while when Abramoff was found by the press, there were not only demands for returning funds and reports of such but articles are still occurring even months ago when he attempted to repair his life in a kosher pizzeria. It seems that this party literally can do no wrong even when court proceedings and jail sentences are involved. As said before, despite the failing ratings and readership levels, liberal bias seems to be a badge of honor instead of a stain of slander to the liberal media as a whole. The result will not only be an increase in citizen and independent journalism’s popularity, but more importantly a decline in the political party which they are consistently attempting to protect. Originally Printed in Parcbench.com To avert our attention from the damage ObamaCare is doing to America day after day, President Obama lifted a moratorium to allow oil drilling off the Eastern seaboard and potentially the western coast of Florida. Thinking he once again did something for America they way he did when he signed ObamaCare, hence many futures away, Obama has gone as far as to adopt the Republican chant “Drill baby drill!”. Lately, there has been a feeling that he is “playing” President instead of being president, thinking his actions don’t really affect people. When it comes to this “Drill baby drill” action, he must see the consequences. Not only would it result in jamming the court houses further, and giving liberal environmental groups more to cry about but it pretty much does nothing in the way of immediacy to get America off foreign oil. First, nothing if anything happens, it cannot even have a chance till 2012. Second, it’s an allowance to look for places to drill. Finally, not only is this pretty much putting his name on a 2008 action by Congress, but once again limits areas such as Alaska. Many people say Alaska is off limits for environmental reasons. However, the reality is studies show the heat result in animal reproduction (funny but true). Of course, Obama supporters immediately call this a “Jobs Bill” since he, after ObamaCare first crashed and burned after its first deadline to sign, promised to focus on that. One problem with that: The EPA along with our POTUS around the same time installed a rule establishing emissions and fuel economy standards for the U.S. auto fleet. With a cost of up to $1,300 per vehicle, it is as House Majority Leader Boehner calls “a job killer.” Score another one for Obama? Obama attempts to excuse this and other related objectives, stating that it will allow “home grown” opportunities to evade us from international oil sources with renewable sources. The issue with that is most technologies are very much way off in being finished; not to mention the time it takes to be integrated into society. Nonetheless, America is an oil and gas country and probably will be even if these “homegrown” opportunities are out there. Hence the gas prices will still be an issue, which leaves us back at step one. Therefore, if the President really wants the phrase “Drill baby drill”, Well Mr. President: Put your money where your mouth is. Despite political remarks showing more than once that his Healthcare proposal was not going to be approved, President Obama recently took his plan on tour to the people. Taking the stage at Glenside of Pennsylvania, Obama attempted to talk the public into supporting his expensive and destructive proposal. There is only one problem with this scheme: The people have already thrown ObamaCare out. I don’t understand what the thought process could have been to go to the public about something that they wouldn’t consider as even as the slightest possibility for improving their healthcare system. Making obvious comments like we need to pass “healthcare reform” somehow believing we don’t know he’s talking about his own proposal, he states that now is the time to fix this broken system. The public knows healthcare needs work because when the plans and the costs go bad, we are the victims. We are the people holding the bag when things go awry. Sure, when things go really horrid re-elections are sometimes at risk, but the real costly results fall at the public. We are the ones searching for help when we are ill and reading page after page of the healthcare explanations while still paying bills for our care. Further, I am proud to say that the youth of our nation, once Obama’s biggest fans are now seeing ObamaCare as what it really is: A cost-ridden mess. Despite this, Obama still seems to think we will take any reform no matter what the cost. We are dealing with a “we know best” administration that seems to believe just because they had many of us choking down whatever they said in the election that now they won the brainwashing will continue. The bad news about that is many people are waking up: We will not just take anything…we need the real thing! Although the RNC believes that the reason for his visit was placed on the shoulders of Senator Arlen Specter and his already failing re-election campaign, although I am not against the possibility as his re-election is already increasing in risk via polls, I think that we have on our hands a one issue President. That, my friends, is the largest risk we can have at a certain address in D.C. Leave Shleave...Resign already Rangel! 03/03/2010
Taxes. It is one of the most obvious responsibilities of life. Since my first job, I knew this to be true. National lawmakers especially should realize this. There is a standard of ethics that we should hold our legislators to. That without a doubt is understood. With so many lives, futures and agendas within their hands, there is an incredible requirement of stature accountability wise. Aside from this high level, there is a obvious belief that lawmakers are human enough to know certain responsibilities. Topping the list of course is paying taxes. Especially when, say, you are the chairman of the committee that creates the laws involving taxes. The chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, which is just such that committee, “failed” to file taxes and his punishment? He takes leave. Senator Charlie Rangel allegedly did not pay taxes for his use of rent-controlled apartments in Harlem for political purposes. No full retribution has occurred other than a supposedly forced “leave of absence.” Don’t get me wrong; Rangel’s replacement, Representative Pete Stark, is really no better. How anti-American can you be when you state a current President is sending soldiers to Iraq, “to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement” or calling a fellow legislator a “fruitcake”? Considering the current economic forecast, we desperately need someone respectful at the helm of this committee. However, I have to say looking through this party for such a person is very hard to find. I love how horrid comments come out of a party that pledges bipartisanship, especially recently, can hold their own party to such low regard. Returning to Rangel, I believe that the Democrats should ask their Senatorial Leader to resign. How responsible can one be when they themselves forget one of the greatest responsibilities of an American, let alone a legislator. A leave of absence shows the weakness as well as the lacking respectfulness that this party has within itself. I cannot wait for 2010 to show this “Majority” how much a minority of respect they have from this nation. Once upon a time a collection of powerful Democrat Leaders supported what was seen as a man who could create positive change in the nation they were leading. They made sure every word, action and thought this man had was supported by the whole party. Watching this man create what some believed was exactly what the nation needed, the Democrats stood behind this man through his campaign. Then suddenly, they realized this man was not doing what he said. In fact, there were instances where he did the opposite. He used his power for things like working to get his state the Olympics, making appearances on late night television and building a garden. Worried over their own political futures and almost fearful of their former Golden Boy's negative ratings, they began to retreat faster than they came to support their now ignored Golden Boy. While the youth are, as many pundits have stated, waking up from their Obama induced dream to a very costly and personally dangerous hangover, Political Contributor Dick Morris stated: The democratic legislators too are “Dropping like flies”, and beginning to back off from supporting President Obama. Evan Bayh, once seen as a White House hopeful, is now one of the most recent “flies” falling away from re-election possibilities. Although he blamed in many ways the factor of Politics in Washington through his announcement speech, the reality…I believe it obvious: Their Golden Boy Obama is losing his sheen and while they can….Dems are jumping ship. On some morning programs such as Morning Joe, DNC’s Chairman Tim Kaine says he is actually optimistic about 2010 elections. Someone should start reading their memos because, although slowly, the Democratic incumbents who once supported our President, now seem to be saying Obama who? In fact, Political Strategist Karl Rove stated that some current statistics are very close to the ones which resulted in the 1994 Republican win. Democrats, for lack of a better term, had their chance to make a supposed “Change” happen and the result, has been a retreat unlike any other in political history. Obama and the Youth...Match Made No More? 02/12/2010
With 2010 just underway, already there have been feet in many of the democrats' mouths. Many people, including the now World Famous “Obama Girl” are seeing the dangerous lacking in Obama’s leadership and wondering why all the promises of “Change” he made have not yet come into play. Making very little headway in the important issues such as healthcare and more importantly, already going back on his campaign promises Obama has already stated he sees himself as a one term president and while personally I couldn’t agree more, he hasn't made much fans while in office anymore. The honeymoon, despite seeming longer than most Presidents have enjoyed, is coming to a slow but strong hault. How is this happening? Reality is sticking its little head into the minds of the once dead set followers of this Democrat leader. An incredible example: While Senator Ted Kennedy’s shoes are incredibly large ones to fill when it comes to policy for the state, it seems the people within it no longer believed they should be filled by a democrat. With a small budget, little known and now worldly known Senator Scott Brown won the special election for the Republicans. This, many political pundits believe is a sign of the tides turning against the President and his fellow democrats and for The GOP. Particularly, tides of the youth. The same who's college and university campuses were flooded with Obama supporters, signs and pro-Obama statements, who once loved and adored President Obama, have gone as far as to reschedule his State of the Union Speech so they wouldn’t be interrupted as they watch the first of the final episodes of Lost. How is this possible, lets look at the statistics a bit shall we? To me I have seen that there are 2 active factions of the youth politically: 1. The youth that have voted for Obama and have grown up to find no positive “change” resulting from his win And 2. The youth that wish Obama would just go away The current events, economy and otherwise have incredibly affected both of these groups Both make up the highest piece of the unemployment rate which is increasing by the second And more importantly: Both are the least supportive of the healthcare reform initiative A factor Obama has been dead set on despite any statements regarding any bipartisan possibility. Bottom line, Many graduates are fighting against a delayed successful entry into the workforce because at their first attempt, they are not only fighting with a job loss but also with applicants that have more experience and will probably work for peanuts while some of them are fighting to pay loans not to mention the increasingly high debt the government is giving us as a graduation gift. More dangerous for the democrats the left no longer have the youth outreach they once had, During the special election of in Massachusetts….Obama asked his young followers to be more “fired up” than they were when he was running….well, we saw how well that comment did. Bottom Line: The youth are, as many pundits have stated, waking up from their Obama indused coma to a very costly and personally dangerous hangover. My response: It's about Time! |
