Whenever the issue of illegal immigration enters the mainstream media, this has and will continue to be a highly raised inquiry.  With the recent reactions to Arizona’s newest immigration law, this question has been raised yet again.  Not only is this legislation a response to a state’s own daily issues with the threat, Arizona’s government was also taking action for what is best for our country; nonetheless calls of racism and comparisons to the holocaust have been made in addition to this age old question: When it comes to employment, are there jobs Americans don’t want to do?

To some, the thought of this question brings visions of people tilling acres and acres of farms.  However, the jobs that are really being discussed through this are more mainstream and hence, not as risky or challenging.  There are different jobs which are being filled by illegal aliens that Americans, especially young citizens, would in fact sign on for.  From house painting to gardening, the issue of unemployment’s increase and its current effects on the nation, one has to wonder if this question really is an aspect of defending illegal immigration any more.
