I would like to begin this article with a well known story of our President’s most trusted advisor:

“At a Little Rock restaurant, soon after Mr. Clinton is elected president, Mr. Emanuel, ticking off a list of what he thought were disloyal Democrats and other political enemies, stabs the table with his knife and screams, ''Dead!'' after each name.”

Listing people on his side for being “disloyal” and pronouncing them not even having the right to lead shows one thing: Rahm Emanuael is a disgrace to the White House. The White House is a building that is set to stand for the stature and strength of our national government has been tarnished by his disregard for anything other than flailing around his power and threatening whomever does not believe in him and his supervisor.

One thing I loved about President George W. Bush is that he listened to the best minds, no matter what their political beliefs or affiliation because, in the end, it was what was best for the country and not his ego that mattered most. Obama, obviously missing that memo, has allowed a doctorial megalomaniac to enter the West Wing.

Emanuel has crossed so many boundaries, yet has gotten no punishment from his supervisor. What does he need to do to get the negative response he deserves? From calling members of his own side of the aisle “F-ing retarded” to invading legislators’ personal space (not to mention crossing areas within the Capitol Hill property,) this man has stepped over every limit that has been placed.  More importantly, he has not impacted any positive “change” which he and his fellow Administration members promised us once upon an election.

The most incredible thing is the track of apology. While Special Olympics chairman and CEO Tim Shriver, who recently launched a campaign to end the use of “the R word” deserved an apology, What about the public as a whole? How about an apology for disrespecting our government?  Where is our apology? I don't know about you, but I would like it in the form of Emanuel's resignation letter.  Because to me, this has gone past the “brash personality” which he was once known for. Emanuel is now a risk to the future of America.  He needs to resign...now.

Despite political remarks showing more than once that his Healthcare proposal was not going to be approved, President Obama recently took his plan on tour to the people. Taking the stage at Glenside of Pennsylvania, Obama attempted to talk the public into supporting his expensive and destructive proposal. There is only one problem with this scheme: The people have already thrown ObamaCare out.

I don’t understand what the thought process could have been to go to the public about something that they wouldn’t consider as even as the slightest possibility for improving their healthcare system. Making obvious comments like we need to pass “healthcare reform” somehow believing we don’t know he’s talking about his own proposal, he states that now is the time to fix this broken system.

The public knows healthcare needs work because when the plans and the costs go bad, we are the victims. We are the people holding the bag when things go awry. Sure, when things go really horrid re-elections are sometimes at risk, but the real costly results fall at the public. We are the ones searching for help when we are ill and reading page after page of the healthcare explanations while still paying bills for our care.

Further, I am proud to say that the youth of our nation, once Obama’s biggest fans are now seeing ObamaCare as what it really is: A cost-ridden mess. Despite this, Obama still seems to think we will take any reform no matter what the cost. We are dealing with a “we know best” administration that seems to believe just because they had many of us choking down whatever they said in the election that now they won the brainwashing will continue. The bad news about that is many people are waking up: We will not just take
anything…we need the real thing!

Although the RNC believes that the reason for his visit was placed on the shoulders of Senator Arlen Specter and his already failing re-election campaign, although I am not against the possibility as his re-election is already increasing in risk via polls, I think that we have on our hands a one issue President. That, my friends, is the largest risk we can have at a certain address in D.C.

Conspiracies or what have you aside, this a world that needs a place like the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center. We are in a war with inhuman terrorists and we need a place where they can be kept away from harming others. Further, standing by it shows the strength of our nation which we need to present at all times in order to continue to be a powerful part of this War Against Terror. Closing it and moving the prisoners around is an incredible show of weakness and indecisiveness. Further, many studies have shown that the treatment of the prisoners were and are very well treated; especially when compared to other soldiers.

I am proud to say a majority of Republicans are standing by this prison as the needed factor of this war. We created it, we placed it into motion and therefore we need to keep it in process. However, recently Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has shown that he is not of this (pun intended) gang. In exchange for “support” of the Bay’s closing, Graham wants the administration to prosecute terrorists who were involved in the 9-11 attacks in military tribunals.

However, it is obvious that military tribunals are going to happen without Graham’s or any other Republican’s approval. Legislators from all over are realizing that the public wants the heads of these horrible criminals on a military tribunal platter. Already, the trials have been withheld from occurring in New York, the largest location of the attack. Military tribunals are the only next option. Further, a majority of the terrorists are attacking members of the military. Shouldn’t the resulting trial be a military tribunal?

Aside from any of this, bipartisanship is needed, but not at the risk of the nation. Closing this prison is a big mistake that both the administration nor the country will never be able to erase. How can we say to our attackers you will be imprisoned when they soon find themselves being sent all over the world on our dime instead in one detainee area? What strength does this show? Attack us and we will detain you then move you around per our President’s liking? We can never be taken seriously if we continue to backtrack on our decisions.

Graham’s decision involves legislation pending which discusses avenues on handling detainees as well as the 9-11 attackers such as delaying the reading of Miranda Rights. The realization that we are giving these people rights from a nation they see as disposable is laughable. Further, postponing the reading really does nothing considering the fact that most of the captured don’t really speak. Either way, why are we reading these rights to any terrorist? A majority of these people are not Americans, some are not even FOUND in America; What rights do these people have? Why are we reading rights to people who don’t believe in the rights of others to be different than them and are heartless mass murderers.

These are far from candidates that deserve rights nor such focus as to close their prison and place them in another location. We have bigger fish to fry when it comes to legislation. The Bay and military tribunals; issue done, on to the next problem. Nothing should be done by our legislators to risk our nation.

Taxes. It is one of the most obvious responsibilities of life. Since my first job, I knew this to be true. National lawmakers especially should realize this. There is a standard of ethics that we should hold our legislators to. That without a doubt is understood. With so many lives, futures and agendas within their hands, there is an incredible requirement of stature accountability wise.

Aside from this high level, there is a obvious belief that lawmakers are human enough to know certain responsibilities. Topping the list of course is paying taxes. Especially when, say, you are the chairman of the committee that creates the laws involving taxes.

The chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, which is just such that committee, “failed” to file taxes and his punishment? He takes leave. Senator Charlie Rangel allegedly did not pay taxes for his use of rent-controlled apartments in Harlem for political purposes. No full retribution has occurred other than a supposedly forced “leave of absence.”

Don’t get me wrong; Rangel’s replacement, Representative Pete Stark, is really no better. How anti-American can you be when you state a current President is sending soldiers to Iraq, “to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement” or calling a fellow legislator a “fruitcake”? Considering the current economic forecast, we desperately need someone respectful at the helm of this committee. However, I have to say looking through this party for such a person is very hard to find. I love how horrid comments come out of a party that pledges bipartisanship, especially recently, can hold their own party to such low regard.

Returning to Rangel, I believe that the Democrats should ask their Senatorial Leader to resign. How responsible can one be when they themselves forget one of the greatest responsibilities of an American, let alone a legislator. A leave of absence shows the weakness as well as the lacking respectfulness that this party has within itself. I cannot wait for 2010 to show this “Majority” how much a minority of respect they have from this nation.

Let me begin this article by stating a fact: When a Bipartisan Summit is proposed, the assumption is that both sides will sit down and EQUALLY discuss an issue. Neither side should, let’s say, post a piece of legislation on the internet or, I don’t know, request the other side to send their own proposal. This event should be an open and blank sheet that has no pre-notations or comments.

Despite proposing such an event, President Obama didn’t get the memo on what a “Bipartisan Summit” was and therefore made the exact errors I discussed and more.

Before the “Bipartisan Summit” on Healthcare, suggested by President Obama, Minority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell was on FoxNews Sunday questioning why the meeting was occurring when so many Americans were against the pending legislation deemed ObamaCare. Despite NPR polls stating over one half of the nation’s citizens were saying no to the President’s proposal, people are still coughing up the 2700 page document as its being continually shoved down their throats.

Believing the conference was to “shelve the bill and start over”, actions such as positing the legislation on the internet, (i.e. placing it in front of a public that already rejected every word of it), McConnell went on to state the realization that the actions the Obama Administration and his legislative following was “arrogance” and I could not agree more. How can an administration that praises itself on being for the people and a creator of change that the people crave be able to say to the same public, “We know more about this so you just sit there and agree”?

Today, with the legislation on the table, cries from the public and the minority are screaming for it to be shredded before it hurts someone. Cutting medicare and charging an already fiscally suffering class of people, Americans are screaming until you really do a real “Bipartisan Summit”…HANDS OFF MY HEALTHCARE!

President Obama knows nothing but games! Here we are awaiting a Bipartisan Summit when action after action is screaming an already pre-set backstepping and games. First, Obama and his cronies place their Obamacare proposal on the internet and asks for the Republicans’ proposal. Isn’t that what the Summit was for? Senator Boehner stated in one of his many responses to the Summit suggestion that the discussion should be started with a “blank” piece of paper, yet even before the ink is dry on the place cards, the Obamacare is now available online?!

To walk into an open discussion with a pre-set agenda is one thing..putting it on the internet is disturbing. How can you suggest a level playing field when you already have the game laid out even before the opposing team approaches the field?

More importantly, we here in the public sector know what this hypocrisy of a legislation proposal Obamacare is. We really did not in any way need to see it online as we, especially the youth, are already against it.

The worst attack against the GOP I believe, while they prepare for this summit, is when he commented that at a National Governors Association event that the Governors have been “Bipartisan” consistently and applaud them for it. I see this as an incredible attack against the Republicans who have openly (and rightly so) been questioning the invitation.

With only a few days left until the supposedly Bipartisan Summit on Healthcare, proposed by a frustrated President Obama, House Minority Leader John Boehner released another statement in two days stating bluntly the event can not be bipartisan because the healthcare reform proposal, termed ObamaCare, has not even hinted a bend to the possibility of involving the Republican’s ideas and suggestions.

Stating that the summit should be approached with a “clean sheet of paper,” Boehner says the Democrats will have one agenda item: Handing their fellow legislators a bill and a pen.

I have to agree with this incredibly because, as history has shown, bipartisan means nothing more than wanting defeat from the other side. The Democrats believe if we enter the Summit the way we should, with our ideas at the ready to be presented and debated, we will look like the heavy when it comes to the need of healthcare reform when in reality we are the biggest supporters of it.

For decades, Republicans have debated healthcare and the need for an open forum for the good of the people. However, when any attempt is made, it is shot down with a pre-created proposal and no chance of discussion on it unless its of approval. A “Backroom deal” as Boehner exclaimed, is what they are looking for.

So what should the Republicans do at this Summit. Come into it strong and ready to refuse, no matter what the public threat may be. This is a time all ideas need to be considered, not just one created by a one sided party, majority or no majority.

You see, the Democrats don’t realize that their plan is not only being rejected by the Republicans, but also the Public itself; More importantly, the youth. The same youth that showed their strength for them one time and the same youth who will be at the polls in 2010 ready to change the stage and, if I can guess, many of the Democrats may not be playing the parts they seem to love so much. To sum it up: Wake up boys and girls, your barking up the tree the wrong way.

Once upon a time a collection of powerful Democrat Leaders supported what was seen as a man who could create positive change in the nation they were leading. They made sure every word, action and thought this man had was supported by the whole party.  Watching this man create what some believed was exactly what the nation needed, the Democrats stood behind this man through his campaign.
Then suddenly, they realized this man was not doing what he said. In fact, there were instances where he did the opposite. He used his power for things like working to get his state the Olympics, making appearances on late night television and building a garden.  Worried over their own political futures and almost fearful of their former Golden Boy's negative ratings, they began to retreat faster than they came to support their now ignored Golden Boy.

While the youth are, as many pundits have stated, waking up from their Obama induced dream to a very costly and personally dangerous hangover, Political Contributor Dick Morris stated: The democratic legislators too are “Dropping like flies”, and beginning to back off from supporting President Obama. Evan Bayh, once seen as a White House hopeful, is now one of the most recent “flies” falling away from re-election possibilities. Although he blamed in many ways the factor of Politics in Washington through his announcement speech, the reality…I believe it obvious: Their Golden Boy Obama is losing his sheen and while they can….Dems are jumping ship.

On some morning programs such as Morning Joe, DNC’s Chairman Tim Kaine says he is actually optimistic about 2010 elections. Someone should start reading their memos because, although slowly, the Democratic incumbents who once supported our President, now seem to be saying Obama who?

In fact, Political Strategist Karl Rove stated that some current statistics are very close to the ones which resulted in the 1994 Republican win. Democrats, for lack of a better term, had their chance to make a supposed “Change” happen and the result, has been a retreat unlike any other in political history.

Once again the double standard in politics I have discussed so many times during my political career has reared its ugly head. While currently private citizen  (until she announces her Presidential run of course) Sarah Palin is beaten over the head consistently for writing items of her speech on her hand for a Tea Party Opening Speech, we come to find out a Democrat did the exact same thing ILLEGALLY at a political debate and the feedback…is no news and a Senatorial nomination for the culprit.

During a crucial debate when she unsuccessfully ran for governor against Pete Wilson in 1990, now Senator Diane Feinstein did the exact same thing, placing what she later said were the major points of her campaign on her left palm.  Obviously, this affected her election however the fact that the news coverage was, in a word lacking, when placed beside the coverage of Palin despite: 1. Her being a private citizen and 2. Not participating in a debate nor, may I add, breaking any regulations.

This is not the only newest realization of what we as Republicans are facing from the media.

In 2002, after a certain comment about deceased legislator Strom Thurmond, Senator Trent Lott was forced to resign his post quickly. However, just recently when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is quoted stating Obama was a “light-skinned' African American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” the aftermath has been less than impacting on his career…if anything according to this strategist just above zero reaction has occurred showing that there is not only a double standard but an incredible risk alert as to the level we are placing our leaders at.

The biggest negative that affects this result: The Media. The Media Research Center reported that 71 percent of the media coverage was positive and only 29 percent was negative. In fact, “Reporter” George Stephanopoulos called it a comment during “A private conversation.”  PBS Host Gwen Ifill, during the third day of coverage, stated “I don’t understand what’s demeaning” when discussing the racially horrid description of our President.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said that if Senator and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had been the one to utter Reid's racially insensitive quote about President Obama, Democrats would be calling for McConnell's head and I fully agree.

Why isn’t Senator McConnell asking for Reid’s head on a silver platter…CNN Reported:
Republican leadership aides, speaking on condition of anonymity in order to speak freely about McConnell's thinking, suggested McConnell knows its very unlikely Reid will step down as leader, and the two have a good working relationship he needs to maintain. The two leading Republicans who have called for Reid to step down as Majority Leader have highly political positions: RNC Chairman Michael Steele and Sen. John Cornyn, who is chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee in charge of electing Republicans to the Senate.

This means its well known that the letter at the end of your name equals to the level of integrity and respect you should be withheld to…even if the person you are negatively discussing is on your side of the aisle.  However, no matter what the side they are on there is an equal level of responsibility, and tact to which these men and women need to be held up to…however we are seeing that it is the letter in front of their name which states to what level of responsibility and more importantly integrity they are being held to. While I believe most Democrats have little to no integrity, the words that come out of their mouths should be as respectful as the words of the Republicans.  If they are not, there should be equal circumstances.  These are our leaders, if they cannot be followed…what are they there for?

With 2010 just underway, already there have been feet in many of the democrats' mouths. Many people, including the now World Famous “Obama Girl” are seeing the dangerous lacking in Obama’s leadership and wondering why all the promises of “Change” he made have not yet come into play.

Making very little headway in the important issues such as healthcare and more importantly, already going back on his campaign promises Obama has already stated he sees himself as a one term president and while personally I couldn’t agree more, he hasn't made much fans while in office anymore.  The honeymoon, despite seeming longer than most Presidents have enjoyed, is coming to a slow but strong hault.  How is this happening? Reality is sticking its little head into the minds of the once dead set followers of this Democrat leader.

An incredible example: While Senator Ted Kennedy’s shoes are incredibly large ones to fill when it comes to policy for the state, it seems the people within it no longer believed they should be filled by a democrat.  With a small budget, little known and now worldly known Senator Scott Brown won the special election for the Republicans.
This, many political pundits believe is a sign of the tides turning against the President and his fellow democrats and for The GOP.  Particularly, tides of the youth. The same who's college and university campuses were flooded with Obama supporters, signs and pro-Obama statements, who once loved and adored President Obama, have gone as far as to reschedule his State of the Union Speech so they wouldn’t be interrupted as they watch the first of the final episodes of Lost. How is this possible, lets look at the statistics a bit shall we?
To me I have seen that there are 2 active factions of the youth politically:
1. The youth that have voted for Obama and have grown up to find no positive “change” resulting from his win
And 2.  The youth that wish Obama would just go away

The current events, economy and otherwise have incredibly affected both of these groups
Both make up the highest piece of the unemployment rate which is increasing by the second
And more importantly: Both are the least supportive of the healthcare reform initiative
A factor Obama has been dead set on despite any statements regarding any bipartisan possibility.
Bottom line, Many graduates are fighting against a delayed successful entry into the workforce because at their first attempt, they are not only fighting with a job loss but also with applicants that have more experience and will probably work for peanuts while some of them are fighting to pay loans not to mention the increasingly high debt the government is giving us as a graduation gift.
More dangerous for the democrats the left no longer have the youth outreach they once had, During the special election of in Massachusetts….Obama asked his young followers to be more “fired up” than they were when he was running….well, we saw how well that comment did.
Bottom Line: The youth are, as many pundits have stated, waking up from their Obama indused coma to a very costly and personally dangerous hangover. My response: It's about Time!
